While Curtis and I were in Las Vegas, Xavier stayed with his Grandmama and Granddaddy and his Mema.

The first day we were gone, Xavier was playing with his Grandmama. The Browns have an old gumball machine in their entryway, and Xavier wanted to play with the "balls" that were inside. Being quite the sorter, Xavier started organizing the gumballs.

He looked at a group of them and said, "Grandmama, those colorful balls make a triangle."

Another Trip to the Zoo, but This Time, With Friends

Xavier and I have thoroughly enjoyed our trips to Riverbanks, and we will go back many times over the summer. On Wednesday, though, we got to go to the zoo and hang out with some friends. Elizabeth and Laura Katherine, and Summer, Jack, and Parker joined us along with a couple of Summer's friends and their kids. We all had a great time. We didn't get to see as many animals as we would have liked, but we got to spend some time playing and catching up!

Xavier loves checking out the elephants. This time, though, he wanted to climb in there with them! Wouldn't that be a fun experience!
