A Busy Spring

Curtis' 33rd birthday was March 16. He decided to have his birthday dinner at Olive Garden. Every time we go there, Xavier eats chicken fingers. I think he's getting tired of chicken fingers, so he's been trying different things. At home, he would only eat spaghetti every now and then, but he insisted he wanted "noodles" that night. We asked for the sauce on the side, just in case, but he wanted that too. Well, just look at the pictures! He went NUTS and ate the whole bowl! I haven't been able to get him off "noodles" since! He's found a new love!



I always have to get the gelato from OG - it is sooooo GOOD! And, I found out, after this order, that you can get a kid size gelato. Look how huge it is! And Xavier ate half of it! Curtis had an enjoyable birthday proudly watching his son scarf down enough food to fill a grown man!


Our nephew, Zachary's 6th birthday party was at Fun Zone, one of those places with the bounce houses. Xavier has never been a fan, so we weren't sure how he would do. As long as he had time by himself (the other kids were watching Z open his presents), he was fine. He was not so happy when all the "big kids" started pouring back in. That gets a little rough for Xavier's taste.

Xavier enjoyed some reading with his Granddaddy, and even some fun on the slide with his Daddy. The girl at Fun Zone told me they even have adult parties there! Weird!



Xavier has watched me paint my toes several times and always wants to get involved, of course, it's paint! He begged me this time to paint his toes, and I caved. The hard part was that he wanted "rainbow" toes. So, I painted each of his big toes several different colors. He was very proud!



Walmart has a lot of cute stuff for summer right now. We saw this cute (and only $5) set of plastic golf clubs, and couldn't resist. Xavier has really enjoyed playing golf, and unfortunately for our house, he hits the little plastic ball really hard! Look how proud he is!



Curtis and Xavier were exploring one day while I was downstairs lifting weights. When I went to find them, they were down by the pond across the street from our house. It had been raining a lot, so there was mud everywhere, especially on the empty lot across from our house. Well, Xavier was being a boy, and he fell into one of the nasty mud pits - here is the result!



Though Xavier was not too excited to meet the Easter Bunny this year, he was excited about his Easter basket. The "Easter Bunny" even hid some eggs for him, and I think the egg hunt was his favorite part.




We spent time with both families Easter afternoon. Curtis' mom always has a big egg hunt planned for the kids, so Xavier was excited to find eggs again.


He even got to try out Granddaddy's motorcycle. Molly never knows how to react when all of us are at her house.



The big event in April was Xavier's 1st trip to the DENTIST! I was soooo nervous about it, and as always, was pleasantly surprised at Xavier's behavior. He did so GREAT and was such a BIG boy! As a reward, he got to go to Teddy Mountain after his appointment. He dressed his lion in a Superman costume and loved every minute of it!
