Lilypie 4th Birthday Ticker

Quotable Quotes from Xavier

While Curtis and I were in Las Vegas, Xavier stayed with his Grandmama and Granddaddy and his Mema.

The first day we were gone, Xavier was playing with his Grandmama. The Browns have an old gumball machine in their entryway, and Xavier wanted to play with the "balls" that were inside. Being quite the sorter, Xavier started organizing the gumballs.

He looked at a group of them and said, "Grandmama, those colorful balls make a triangle."

So smart!

Happy July 4th 2008!

For a month or so, I had been dying to go to the Gilbert Peach Festival (actually I think it's now the Lexington County Peach Festival, but whatever). It's a good country festival with a parade, lots of vendors, and of course, PEACHES! And Gilbert grows the BEST peaches! So, that is what we did on July 4 this year.
Xavier enjoyed the parade, or at least, what part we got to see. He saw tractors and "monster trucks" and motorcycles - perfect for my BOY!

You can't see very good because of that umbrella covered couple, but Xavier liked the big red tractor.

Xavier is not a peach fan (he gets that from his Daddy), so he decided on a blue snow cone instead. He ate the entire thing, which was good because I think it was about 112 degrees outside that day!

All in all, it was a successful morning. I even bought some Usborne books for Xavier, which we love! If you've never checked them out, go to http://www.usborne.com/default.asp to check them out - beautiful books!
