Lilypie 4th Birthday Ticker

Quotable Quotes from Xavier

While Curtis and I were in Las Vegas, Xavier stayed with his Grandmama and Granddaddy and his Mema.

The first day we were gone, Xavier was playing with his Grandmama. The Browns have an old gumball machine in their entryway, and Xavier wanted to play with the "balls" that were inside. Being quite the sorter, Xavier started organizing the gumballs.

He looked at a group of them and said, "Grandmama, those colorful balls make a triangle."

So smart!

SNOW in Blythewood!

On January 20 (I think), it snowed in Blythewood. Xavier was so excited when he woke up and looked out the window . . . he said "It's a snowy day!" We have been reading a book called "The Snowy Day" and they had been learning about winter in school, so it was perfect timing.
Without even eating breakfast, we "suited up" in our best snow clothes (living in SC, we don't really have the correct gear), and headed outside. Xavier was thrilled! Of course, he loves the outdoors no matter what the weather is, so it was an easy sell.
This is his expression when he first stepped foot on the snow . . . priceless!
We all went for a walk in the woods behind our house.

We were lucky that Curtis happened to be off that day, so he got to enjoy the snow with us. Taking icesicles off of our trash can . . .
Standing in our neighbors' yard . . .
